Welcome to the Albuquerque Chapter of ASM International!

Welcome to the Albuquerque Chapter of ASM. My primary goal as chapter chair is to carry on the tradition of interesting, thought-provoking meetings for our members and the members of other engineering societies. These meetings not only provide the opportunity to hear from leading experts on a wide range of topics, but also provide an opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow materials scientists and engineers throughout central New Mexico. I encourage both members and non-members to attend meetings of interest, and get involved in the local chapter. You can get involved at a variety of levels, from simply suggesting interesting speakers or tours, to coordinating a meeting, to assisting in the annual Teachers' Materials Camp, to organizing the Rio Grande Symposium on Advance Materials. After all, it is member involvment that will help this chapter better serve the members. If you'd like to get involved, you can e-mail me (Doug Taylor) at dtaylor@tplinc.com.

PS: If you'd like to be on the e-mail list to get updates on upcoming meetings, etc., just send a request to Bill Moffatt at wcmoffa@sandia.gov.
